This is my response to a recent post that ended up on my dashboard. The post said, “I’d rather write about this world than live in it and I’d rather play music all day and read and wander around bookstores and watch humans, but not be one of them.”

Why do we involve ourselves so deeply in other peoples’ lives? To the point where they fear doing something just because of what others would think?
Why is society so ready to gossip? So ready to turn our back on the ones who need the most support…
We’re so easily persuaded, so easily distracted from the truth.
And the truth is that no one should be able to control your life....
Why is blood so forbidden? It's so beautiful.
